Angela and I have been best friends since high school. We've thrown fellow cheerleaders in the air together. We've dreamed together. Stood by each other getting married. Cried to each other when those youthful dreams didn't turn out exactly as planned, and sat in silence together when we've realized our lives are pretty darn good. We've mailed letters to each other from Japan; Hawaii; Idaho. We've left really silly messages on each other's phones.
And this year, we got to ring in the new year together! 2014, baby!
Ang and her son Jalen took a brief detour from their vacation of several weeks in Seattle to come visit us. I thought for sure she was crazy coming to a freezing, snow-covered Utah after being used to paradise skies and hot temperatures living in Hawaii, but she was here and we had a fantastic time together!
