Laffy Taffy

For over two months this little yellow banana-flavored Laffy Taffy has been sitting on my dresser.

Untouched.

But each time I see it, it makes me smile.

Smile with both love, and a twinge of heartache.

Funny how little things like yellow Laffy Taffy's can do that.

It all started when Damon was here for the day and was playing - like he normally does - with toys. It must have been a Sunday because I recall both Brook and Susy heading outside into the cold weather when they left.
