The young women youth group were going to see the movie Saturday's Warrior tonight at The District. My girls and I were in!
A few things made tonight super cool:
1) Friends and neighbors of ours, Brian and Alison Clark, were the parents in the movie (Flinders).
2) I played the songs and sung them the past couple of days with less humiliation from kids.
3) Afterwards, I could hear Maiya singing one of the songs.
It was really nostalgic. These songs were part of my childhood. We'd drive the many miles to church, or road trips and this cassette tape would be popped into the tape deck for some singing-along moments. I can still recite most of the songs. It was a cool thing then, it was cool now.
