I got a nice little $parking$ ticket today.

And Maiya was sick.

It was a long day.

Then I got home...and was greeted with this Welcome Home by My Ethan...

"Hi mom. I cleaned up a bit. And I emptied the dishwasher all by myself. Then I looked up this movie I thought you might like..."

I stopped just to make sure I was hearing right, looked at him with that Did-I-just-hear-you-right? face, and then he continued with a little Bert-n-Ernie snicker...

"...cuz I know you'll CRY!"

That.

Was exactly what I needed.

He knows this mom very well.

I love this kid.

He's 10.

I told him to remember those exact lines to say to his wife.

(The movie? Charlie St. Cloud...not ready for that sad movie yet.)
